Any member may flag a post but surely it is the duty of a monitor to ensure that all offending posts are flagged as violations. To not do so abrogates the principal role of a "monitor" in my very humble opinion.
So I decided to reduce the number of people who can flag a post as a violation by one, me. The reason I did that was to try and reduce the bickering on the board, a lot of which is directed at the board monitors.
My understanding was that flagging a post was anonymous, and as such, I am unable to follow the logic of the above statement.
I am the only board monitor presently, I cannot delete posts except by Treasurer and Mailroom people and the problem is seldom there except for new weekend bashers who pop up now and then.
I respectfully refer you to the following:

and would note that the poster is still designated President Plus (appointed) as of August 14, 2008 11:19AM.
My critique is of the role of monitor and, as with pregnancy, it has to be all or nothing for there to be any validity and equilibrium, and until such time as there remains the obvious polarization that the role creates I shall abide with my principles and continue posting on this forum only.
Be well
