Moral to the story....NEVER DOUBT A STEELERS FAN! lol (see I didn't forget this time!)

I'd have to concur that success depends a GREAT DEAL on simple luck. But I also believe to a point that those who are most successful are those that REALIZE how lucky they are and in turn take advantage of that. And IMO at least, if your are born in the United States, you AUTOMATICALLY are among the luckiest people in the world just by that stroke of fate.

I know for one that while I was born into a good sized (5 kids) but relatively low income family and definitely went without for much of my childhood, I realized then and am incredibly grateful for it still, that I was born at all, born healthy, and then born into a stable family with both father & mother still together. And then, and especially, born in a country and a society that is free (as one can be) and allows one for pretty much any opportunity if one tries hard enough. I know much of my success is directly attributable to my parents, their hard work, example, and insistence on my being a productive person, instilling values and assuring that I get first and foremost, ABOVE all else, the best education possible. All along the way, I've met and had very supportive people in my life.

I know many people in the US lack all of those resources and support structures that I've enjoyed. Some of those people went to college right along side of me. We should all do what we can to help one another, no doubt, and the government should do its share as well. In my opinion, by focussing on those items I mentioned and leaving as much money in our pockets through lower taxes, they would be doing FAR MORE than they do now by trying to get more money and creating more programs that ultimately serve mainly to provide politicians a vehicle to gain support in elections.

There. I'm DONE wit all political discourse! lol. Afterall, the Steelers are on in less then 2 hours!
