I think the drilling issue is just a piece of what needs to happen and so does 70 % of Americans. We must find more oil as the transition from oil powered to other forms of energy may take years. We must do something in the mean time to transition us from oil to something else. Is the drilling the answer to all of our energy and economic needs? NO
You say you vote for the man. Now your saying that you vote for the opposite party. Which is it? Last I checked Bush and Cheney are not on the ticket.
You say that congress controlled by democrats hasn't got anything done yet your willing to give them another 2 years? go figure.
The sad part is that I think regular folks like us could sit down together and come up with some good middle ground solutions to many of the problems facing this country.
Our representatives we send to DC are too far to the right or left and are out of touch with average Americans. When you get extreme thinking in two opposite directions no middle ground is achievable. Its like having Jews and Palestinians work together its like oil and water they just dont mix no matter what you do. We need representatives that are in touch with average America not extreme America, or corporate America and that can work together and come up with solutions or programs that make sence.
