Nah Borredo,
Neither one of them were liberals. Instead, they were kind hearted good christian Americans. They were both kind hearted because they were there for each other in both their times of need.
If they had been liberals, the boy would not have been out working his way through school. Instead he would have been trying to find a way for the govt. to pay for it. He would have been crying about how he was discriminated against because he was poor. He would have been blaming all of his problems on others, (such as his parents, his school, and society as a whole, and how unfair it all was). He defintely would not have been taking responsibility for himself.
If the girl had been a liberal, she would not have been taking responsibility for her own hospital bill. Instead she would be crying about how unfair the system is. And how come health care isn't "free" like it is in Cuba? She might try to get the ACLU to sue the hospital for some time of discrimination. She might just walk on her bill and let the taxpayers worry about covering it. For isn't that what the govt. is for, to take care of all our needs?
No Borredo, these two were honest good hearted Americans who took care of their own responsibilities. They took care of each other in their times of need, out of the goodness of their hearts. They looked to themselves instead of the govt. to solve all their problems. They werent' victims and blamed everyone else for their problems. And they didn't look to society or the govt. to literally pay for their problems. Nope, these two were clearly not liberals.
