This invention is concerned with designing the proper "hooks" into a RAM, so when manufacturing the final product with a particular operating mode or bit pattern (e.g. for a particular customer), the "tooling (photo masks) changeover" required in the manufacturing process is minimal while simultaneously keeping the chip area low. I believe this invention is more concerned with optimizing the manufacturing process of RAM (and keeping chip size smaller). IMHO it is a GIANT STRETCH to use this reference in combination with anything as prior art or obviousness for the 148. I'm disgusted! Back to hibernation until the response. I hope the TPL response is diplomatic. I would have a hard time being such if I had to respond.
