You need to do some more homework to understand the differences between the two technologies
Believe it or not, I do comprehend the differences. I introduced RFID by thinking outside the box. It's not going to take much for someone to combine a self-powered RFID with GPS so that should the GPS unit be, for example, turned off, location could still be determined from a Wi-Fi RFID.
There is nothing in the LBAS range that jumps out and says novel, cost-effective, and must-have.
A parent with 4 children in the segmented age range would have to buy 4 units @ $150, $600 and then pay an ongoing monthly fee of 4 x $20, $80. Compared with 4 GPS enabled cell phones, which they would probably already have, zero additional cost for equipment with a monthly fee of $9.99 for all 4 units. $960 vs $119.88.
There already exists inexpensive RFID systems in prisons, and how long before RFID's can measure body temperature or heart rate to indicate substance abuse?
Please, show me one thing that LBAS has which is superior to that currently available from other manufacturers.
Be well
