At the tender age of 75, I remember hearing all the discussions pertaining to the importance of NOT becoming a member nation of the UN. Of course, at that time, with the VERY liberal Truman in the White House, we didn't stand a chance of maintaining our status as "the Greatest Nation in the World" as we had been before WWII. At one time, everyone wanted to be an American and Americans were welcomed and respected wherever they went in the world.

Once we stopped showing our strength and gave up our independence, we became weaklings and even though we had saved the world from dictatorship, we were despised.

Free Trade is one of the worst things that could have befallen America. There was a time when the tariffs collected on our trade was all the money it took to run the government............
