Congrats on your comm ticket!  Any commercial experience?

You didn't ask, but here's a fast rundown of my flying period, which followed 5 years enlisted time, reaching Staff Sergeant rank.

Many of my years were spent in the back seat as an instructor in T-28's, T-33's and T-38's.

I began in the PA-18 (piper cub), then T-6's, T-28's, Getting my wings after completing T-33 training in Bryan AFB, TX...now closed for a long time.

 Went through a short T-33 gunnery school at LaughlinAFB, Del Rio TX enroute to Nellis for F-86's.  From there went back to Bryan for my first stint of instructing in both the T-28 and T-33.  We carried students through both aircraft.

For several more years I flew T-Birds (33's) at Tyndall ABF FL, then a tour in Hawaii, then to Wright-Patterson, Ohio in command of the T-Bird section supporting behind the line pilots holding desk jobs.  We gave them help as was needed, and also administered their annual contact and instrument checks

My toughest job while there was having to bust an annual instrument check of a Bird Colonel!   LOL

Next tour I went back to Del Rio and was a flight Commander teaching in T-38's.  Four years there and 1600 T-38 hours later, I went to George AFB, CA for my F-4 training.

Then to SEA flying out of Udorn AB Tailand, where most missions were over Laos.   Shot at a lot, but all were misses!  During this time I was in the 555th TFS, lovingly known as the TRIPLE NICKEL

Last was back to Nellis for Wild Weasel training in the 81st TFS, then to Germany to complete my time in F-4's.
