Sent an email to Sandra Cason, (scason@coxnews.com), the reporter who covered the TIVO trial as well as some other IP litigation trials in Marshall documented on:

This site was always the first to release court information on the TIVO trial, and often used by other sources as well.
You can see her response below. She has not heard of the Patriot lawsuit yet, but she wants to hear about it as soon as there is more info. Little premature right now..but it might be a good idea for as many of us to inquire with her about the case once a court date is set. The more inquiries…..maybe improves the chance that her staff covers the case. I was thinking that we could even offer Rashputin’s services to write the commentary? GLTA
Hi Craig,
Thanks for the comments. I have received more than 40 e-mails on my coverage of the trial. Needless to say, I`m flattered -- and having fun. You know, it doesn`t happen too often that the work of a small- town reporter attracts such global attention. I did not know of the other case. However, we have many patent cases here -- too many for us to cover with our little staff of four reporters. But let me know about that one if you hear anything more, will you? My managing editor worked at the Brownsville newspaper, so she knows of what you speak. Marshall, however, is at the other end of the state. We are near the Louisiana and Arkansas borders, in Northeast Texas.
