I was always heard that our chip was good, but the tools were the achilles heel...

We don`t have any engineers (that I know about) on the PTSC payroll to work that issue, so IF it still is an issue, it needs to be worked by someone prior to marketing.

Also, there needs to be someone to support I/I....unless we have the technical support, who will take a chance on the silicon?

Looking over to the other side, Moore was one of the co-founders of Shboom, the fundamentals that live within the I/I, and a slew of Engineers (or soon to be hired, from looking at their job site) from which to assign responsibilities....I don`t see anyone needed with RISC experience, maybe there are already people on-hand.

Or as I alluded in past posts, I/I will be shelved in lieu of a hybrid PTSC/PTL design? Possible?...yes, since it explains the time lag on PTSC side in putting people in place to ready/support the chip (technically)...

The only other thing I can see, is PTSC looking for a company that is putting out or developing a chip in line with their current product, so they can utilize the existing talent and drop their (PTSC`s I/I) design into their processes, then tweak and go to market in a fraction of the time...and maybe that`s why Turley is on board, to scope out those possibilities.

Time to market is everything...they better be doing something.
