is also a nice spot but north by about 30 -45 minutes to LaCosta and the hotels you mentioned are truly nice but Aviara is imo equal plus much closer. Plus for the kids there is legoland right in Carlsbad and all that S.D. has to offer. However if you are flying into and out of John Wayne then certainly Laguana Beach is a choice spot to stay.

I`ve been here in San Diego forty plus years and it is amazing the growth that has taken place in that time
