Actually, had the dem-controlled congress in the `80`s indexed for inflation the AMT thresholds as it did marginal rates (at the behest of a certain great republican named Ronald Reagan) then this matter would not now be haunting hard-working middle class folks. And, recent attempts to deal with it have been met with the usual demagoguery that so often associates itself with the current minority.

``Tax cuts for the super wealthy`` sounds nice for the class warfare gang, but ALL taxpayers have benefited from marginal tax rate reductions and, in addition, the expansion of the earned income tax program has actually given money to some who don`t even owe taxes (figure that one out). And, lest we forget, the overall benefit to all of society from the robust economy which has been powered by the latest round of tax cuts.

The facts are the facts. Too bad many get mired in the propoganda and miss the reality.
