Thoughts and DD what does it mean?

Note to all: This is a long post however as there is no trading going on today (Saturday) I thought I would take the time to post this message. In advance, I am sorry if some of you find it to long for this site.

With the dust of the past week’s trading settling I decided to review slowly the press releases that have been issued by ptsc and alliacense. I wanted to see if I could detect something from them that I may have glossed over when I had first read them. I know that words mean something but as I have often done in the past I sometimes tend to ``read between the lines`` or give words meanings that I want them to have not necessarily what they were meant to convey. So here is what I have come up with and am curious what you all think.

1. Many of the post on this board focus on the ``150`` possible infringers that we have heard about for years from the company. However, Leckrone mentions hundreds in his pr.’s while DP uses the 150 number. See p.r. quotes below

However in the March 2nd pr. from ptsc it states that, ``The Fujitsu, Intel, AMD, HP and Casio licensing agreements set a strong precedent for more than 150 other high tech manufacturers that were notified in 2004 that they were infringing upon our patents and were invited to obtain appropriate licenses,`` Pohl noted.

In the 2/21 and 2/1 press releases from alliancense Leckrone states ``..... He confirmed that Alliacense has contacted hundreds of system manufacturers around the globe, and that competition for early-round licensing berths in key market sectors has become intense``.

There really is no conflict - DP is talking about 2004 while Leckrone seems to be talking about notifications to date in 2006. So we are in the hundreds!

2. In a pr. dated March 1st Alliacense mentions AMD and Intel as ``chip manufacturers``. Full quote: ``in light of early validation of MMP portfolio by marquee chip makers Intel and AMD in 2005, MMP licensing efforts are now focused on global system manufacturers``. Thereby seeming to separate them from system manufacturers.

Also in the March 1st pr. from alliacense it is stated that Fujitsu ``…. joins an expanding roster of global system manufacturers including Hewlett-Packard and Casio Computer…``.

So, are AMD and Intel a chipmaker or are they system manufacturers? The reason I asked myself that question is because of the following statement found in both the 2/21 and 3/1 press releases from alliacense, where it is stated that alliacense ``…also offers simple, royalty free licenses to all semiconductor operations worldwide…``.

I know that Intel paid a one time licensing fee and although there is some question that AMD has milestone payments to make or has made outside of their using ignite and inflame they also, I think could basically be called a one time fee payer. So are they what alliacense is calling ``semiconductor operations`` in the 2/21 and 3/1 press releases and are Casio, HP, and Fujitsu not because they are system manufacturers?

Because if there is a difference and it would seem there is, then all companies which are not considered semiconductor operations are paying or should be paying royalties. At least that is what I read (or am reading into) this statement.

What I have decided is that although I do not know for sure it would seem likely from the information available that ptsc is or will be receiving recurring revenue from the likes of Casio, HP and Fujitsu.

I may be wrong and I may not totally understand the differences of ``chip-makers, system manufacturers and semiconductor operations`` and therefore I am all wet in my assumptions but if I am correct the future of this company looks very very good.

Please fellow ptsc’ers help me out what do you think?

With Appreciation

marc
