You don`t believe everyone has a price? You don`t believe every business has a life cycle? You don`t believe every product has a useful life?
I think this one does - maybe at best, a life cycle of 10 years in remaining.
In the meantime, there will be technical evolutions and revolutions. Look at how so much has changed in a decade? Think it will stop here, think we have the tiger by the tail?
Leckrone and Moore aren`t timeless, they won`t work or live forever, but trust me, Moore isn`t in it to make a killing anyway - He`s an Engineer, a designer, a thinker. He`s not a businessman. His drives are different from the average suit or Joe 6-pack. Also his desires are probably a bit more altrustic, as he does what he does for achivement, not power.
As for TPL/PTSC - better to look unapproachable so that only the best and the boldest dare approach you. Look too eager and you sell out too early and perhaps not the way you envisioned.
They will be approached, if they haven`t been already. The want or desire for something by someone is greater when it seems too distant and unreachable. And if there is competition in the pursuit of that desire, the effort to attain that posession will be greater.
IMHO, it will happen, and it will happen at the right time. Timing is everything. Also judging the crescendo of events, and in pre-determining the apponents max pain in a pursual effort, and when to take the offer....
Leckrone and Co. will ride off richer, and Moore will land deftly and effortlessly on his feet, being a Chief Scientist somewhere, hopefully isolated from the Corporate world enough, as to be left alone to create, experiment and develop, as well he should.
Again, all IMHO, and only worth the bits and bytes it took to type them. Oh, well....also maybe the bottle of water and turkey sandwich I`m having for lunch right now adds a bit of value.....
