I certainly can`t answer for anyone else, but our CA company has been through several trademark and patent cases as an OEM manufacturer.

We pay by the hour. Today, it costs us $360 per hour to use our top drawer Beverly Hills attorney. For lesser needs, we use one of his staff lawyers at $225 per hour. Belive me, we have been on both ends and the dollars paid to these folks are well worth it.
