I agee when you say "I believe they have seriously valid science and a plan to take it to market. I also firmly believe they have more in the que that we know......."  

Because why else would they go public and now? That's all I keep rhetorically asking myself. Though I answer with it doesn't make sense for them to go public if they didn't have something. It just seems random for them to go public if they didn't have anything.
