I way it reads is the company which is us. gets 10mill. thats great news. No mention of royalities or if this a one time lic. deal. probably the 20mill. covers Hpq till the end of the patent life span. this maybe a better plan to get a lump sum payment and don`t have to try and track every single chip that uses are patents. And don`t forget this seems to be the cheaps we are willing to settle for.
So with 140 plus infringers around the world the lic. deals are only going to get better the longer they hold out.
The smart thing to do for the 4jap company is to settle before we go to trial which I think will happen. If Hpq settled for 20mill. then we should be able to get atleast 50mill apiece from each jap firm. That would appear to be inline with what most major infringement cases settle for 200 to 250 mill range. when that happens that would mean we still have about 140 left. Tpl is on the right road. 9yrs is a short time to have to fight each and every case in court. at 20mill a pop we our getting a small piece of the pie but it sure tastes better then a empty pan. If we can so multiple contracts per qrt. with that kind ofcash going right to our bottom line hey there is noway that this stock will stay at these levels. And if we do generate that kind of cash stream then as shareholders we should ban together and demand that the company buy back all warrants held by Swartz and whoever else is hold this stock.
