Precisely my thoughts....IMHO, Pohl`s working to a business plan, but not answering to shareholders in that plan. Someone else is driving the plans he is working to...I don`t see where he`s been able to exercise any political leverage (visible, and to the benefit of his shareholders) in his position. With his knowledge and familiarity, I was expecting more of an independent, visible effort in marketing silicon or the Ignite core...

Instead, we see the only arm of a Marketing/Engineering effort broken off and discarded. This leave me to believe he`s only working ``things in play``, to which we don`t know the extent...
