OK, Fair enough - My original post was intended to be a bit more light hearted than was taken. immediately afterwards, I also made a self depreciating comment in jest, in an attempt to convey my tone.

Such is the power of the ineffectively communicated written word. My regrets...

Moving on -

I would assert that his numbers are (probably) fairly close, but wouldn`t general DD result in this type of data?

Also, if I remember correctly, he passes himself off as someone well connected, with statements like ``the boys at Merril Lynch (and etc...) are buying``, along with other comments linked to when the (supposed) meeting in SD was taking place.

Why post and tip their hands? All companies adhere to a budget in any type of procurement activities. Posting that type of stuff is detrimental to Large Houses when they have a target number for acquisition? - unless however, the idea is actually to jumpstart buying at the retail level...?...and to post on RB puts it in the mainstream reading audience for daytraders and momo buyers.

Regarding INTC and AMD payouts, it`s still left to be determined if the payouts were defensive measures, or if they do have substance - ``recurring revenues``, thats the key word (or an acceptable variant) that I keep looking for....

BTW, in the Corporate world, $3M for AMD and $10M for INTC would be considered a rounding error on their books...

Regards
