As with any prespectives given, you can always expect a retort! While I`m in agreement with what you say, this doesn`t necessarily have to be a super-long, drawn out process.

At any time, the ``unexpected`` could happen. Intel could apply pressure (perhaps due to pressure from the ``J5``) to make things happen with greater speed. Any Intel competitor (e.g., AMD) could step up and add urgency to the situation (and make things REALLY interesting). Deals could be worked to circumvent the need for further litigation (or at least remove some hurdles). Moore could just relent, and accept a reasonable offer (or propose one) from PTSC. Lots of ``could happens``, and possibilities for combinations of the above potentialities.

So, just as we can`t ``hang our hats`` on the expectation of an extremely long process, we certainly can`t expect a quick resolution based on something that would be nice, but is currently not as ``probable``. But we should recognize that the potential does exist. I`m personnally hoping things take a while to provide me an opportunity to add to my meager position.

With that said, Happy New Year to all!
