Agreed, it seems there would be zero need for the BoD to go to a deposition in Japan.

Likely (hopefully?) it will be carried out by a Japanese law firm representing our side who will ask questions we pose for us.

Don't know how it will be transacted but it seems to me that there would/should be no need for a team of lawyers to travel there given the capabilites of the internet video conferencing. On the other hand, the cynic in me suggests that getting paid to fly business class to Japan and enjoy the Ginza in the evening while billing it all to the lawsuit seems like a pretty cushie deal.
