I just got back from Summit County where we take our boys skiing/boarding with their grandparents over spring break... This would have been the 15th yr I believe that my wife's parents and their best friend couple had shared a condo for skiing.. except that the wife of the couple died of cancer 2 yrs ago after a heroic effort to battle it for yrs.. Mid February of this yr, on the aniversary of her passing, the three of them tossed a doz roses one by one off a bridge up stream.. of which passes by their condo... 11 of the roses followed the main chanel past and away from their condo.. but one was carried into the seconary chanel and it happened to stop right next to their condo.. easily seen from their decks... There it was every day.. thru snow and rain.. ice and melt.. then, the day that my in law's good friend left for back home (the day before we were leaving)... it was gone...
