An apology implies that you have done something wrong. You did nothing wrong.

On the other hand, we have all been apologists at some point or another:

Some defend their position that rehashing the past accomplishes nothing while others defend their position that the BoD should have been/still should be replaced for their breach of fiduciary responsibility to shareholders

The BoD has defended their positions

1. Despite the fact that the majority of shareholders voted against them, they believe it is in the best interest of the company to remain in their positions

2. Despite the fact that the majority of shareholders voted for majority voting, they chose to ignore this and defend their position and the right to do so.

We are in good company. However, to those of you who have never given of your time to sit in a court room, research court documents, make phone calls, write letters and spend your own money for information that you freely share with all of us without having an obligation to do so, you should offer up your apologies for being so critical to those who have done so, for the benefit of all.
