Regardless of yesterday's decision everyone thinks HTC will appeal the verdict from NorCal (just because the always go the maximum way) - but being a laymen this raises the following question to me:

With the latest developments in the BK case of TPL where the amount of the Apple license gets revealed could it be that an appeal not only would lead to another investigation of the verdict but also to another investigation of the jury award becuse it was based on the false actions of TPL?

So could an appeal from HTC be a double-edged sword for them?
