His post is only correct to a point, there is more to the story IMO. Who really keeps the board in their positions? It is the majority shareholders. Who are they? Have you been to the SHM and seen the cozy hugs and kisses with large shareholders? I have. They are keeping the board right where they want them, in place. As to what the board has to gain if we come out on top of all these settlements, more cash! And where to you think some of that cash is going to end up? Who is going to be in charge of where that money goes? The BOD!!! And don't you think they are going to give themselves BIG bonuses for all the success and cash that they have brought to the company? Based on past history I think they will reward themselves rather nicely. And the big shareholders are going to get there share too. The small shareholders will be rewarded likewise with a dividend on each share.
The more shares the more dollars or cents as the case may be.
