Cliff has the most to lose. Carl and Gloria could fire him tomorrow. Who then would hire someone who has been an interim CEO for years, has no legacy of accomplishments as the interim CEO, and has very little respect from the company's shareholders? I believe that Cliff would do more for the shareholders but he is being held back by Cliff and Gloria. You have to ask why?

Perhaps Cliff could be the hero. Or, he can continue on as is.
