If you ask my ignorant opinion. HTC saw no verdict being returned and started to sweat. They then reached out to TPL council and asked to meet. They notified the judge who told the jury to take a powder..

There are hundreds of companies afraid of a verdict and would chip in to settle

TPL can not afford to not accept a settlment and risk getting a small award that will not cover expenses for an additional trial.. So we settle for 10 mm or so and we live to fight again The stock runs to 16 or 17 cents and then languishes back to a dime.
