Commissioner Aranoff recused herself from our ITC case and others. I did check on a few of the other cases and the common denominator seems to be the law firm of Steptoe & Johnson. They are representing Huawei in our ITC case and they represented clients in the other cases for which Aranoff recused herself.
In a previous post of mine, I addressed a possible conflict of interest for David O Lloyd who is a staff member in our ITC case. He previously worked for a law firm whose partner had represented Samsung. I questioned whether or not he should have recused himself.
David O Lloyd was formerly an Associate of Friedman Wittenstein
