Go read it again, snoopy. Better yet, ask your attorney to explain it to you. The bulk of that expense was related to getting Swartz to release the IP. My opinion is nothing was paid to TPL at all out of that $3,855,000.

That being said, the overall picture in my mind is that everyone is getting rich but us. I find $480k in expenses for the joint venture to be excessive. The return generated by their negotiations had better be huge to justify those expenses.

As already pointed out by Brian, Swartz basically rapes us at will. And their buttbuddy Lowell is trying to do the same.
