On Judge Grewal's calendar, he lists both the HTC et al and Acer et al Jury Trials for the same days from 9/23 through 10/4. It's then listed that on 10/15 there will be "motion hearing" for those same cases.

BaNosser can correct me if I'm not recalling correctly, but I was under the impression that the judge had recently granted the separation of the two trials/cases in one of the recent PACERs. Is that correct? If so, how would they be tried on the same days in front of the same judge?
- Separate trials granted http://agoracom.com/ir/patriot/forums/discussion/topics/585209-new-pacer-docs-ndoc/messages/1835943#message
Still wonder how that works in practical sense based on the schedule listing. Is it one week each, or morning for one, afternoon for the other? etc.
Secondly, who is the "et al" in both of these cases. Does it include the other companies that were before the ITC? Or is it just the additional related entities of HTC and Acer?
- et al is Acer and HTC related entities only.
Thirdly, I've read news stories announcing that TPL/PTSC had filed claims against the 13 companies in both the ITC AND the NDoC. Are there other cases against the likes of Amazon and Barnes and Noble, that are on a different track, or are they tied up with these?
- Per 10K, these additional non-HTC & Acer NDoC lawsuits were stayed pending the ITC resolution, so I assume we'll need a final resolution, ie appeal if any resolved, prior to them restarting.
Lastly for now, if this is a jury trial that is scheduled to end on 10/4, I'm assuming the jury deliberations and verdict will direclty follow. Is that correct? And if so, what is the 10/15 "motion hearing" for and is that a typically scheduled proceeding in this type of instance?
- Any knowledgable response appreciated.
Thanks.
