Is there a latest possible date for the MSJ?

I'm confused reading the decision of last Friday regarding the decision to hold two trials for Acer and HTC each with exact dates for both trials but so far no MSJ IF there will be any trial at all.

Isn't this like putting the cart before the horse or did I miss a further important piece of this story....lol...?

Anyway, can someone tell me if there is a latest possible date for the MSJ (e. g. at least ten days before trial?) or is it totally up to the Judge?
