Interesting read. There is, no doubt, abuse of the patent system as well as copyright laws. Leaches piggy backing on others who have done very creative work. However, I believe the MMP would still meet more stringent standards for patents simply because of its innovation and enormous impact.

I am cautiously optimistic. Causious because so many twist and turns have delay us from receiving the rewards for investing in such an innovative technology.
