Let me start out by saying that I like the business that PTSC is in, whatever you want to call it. I cannot deny that the definition below (not my definition) puts PTSC into the troll category. There's some unwarrented denial going on here - not a good thing for an investor, especially when the US Government is now openly going after the "troll problem".

PTSC has no development, enginerring, manufaturing, marketing, distribution, sales, or employees or contractors related to those functions. They sell no hardware of software products. PTSC owns 50% of a bunch of patents. They make money by the sale of patent licenses. The shoe fits. I didn't make the shoe. IBM, Apple, etc have all those other functions and they sell products.

Definition: "Technically, trolls are known as "patent assertion entities" or "non-practicing entities" to distinguish them from firms or individuals who hold patents with the intention of making things with them.) In their most refined and abusive guise, trolls are firms that buy up patents with the express purpose of threatening others with infringement lawsuits. "
