<On information and belief, HTC induces consumers to make and use the claimed inventions and to practice the claimed methods by (i) providing the Jetstream and Thunderbolt products with a USB input/output interface for connecting the accused devices to a peripheral device, the peripheral device having a clock independent of the CPU clock (e.g., ring oscillator) connected to the central processing unit on the microprocessors of the Jetstream and Thunderbolt products and (ii) instructing consumers to connect the accused products to a peripheral device such that the combination includes each element of the asserted apparatus claims of the ’336 Patent and use of the combination, as intended, practices each of the elements of the asserted method claims of the ’336 Patent.>

The complaint has to do with a very specific type of operation involving the USB port.The complaint does not appear to have anything to do with the normal microprocessor and USB interaction.

Standards were developed to aid in high speed data transfer and device to device communication w/o the need for a pc.During this operation control of the I/O is accorded to the Device's clock.

What some people are posting is only relative to normal USB opreation.Which doesn't apply to this complaint.To the best of my knowledge infringement under normal operation has not been claimed at the USITC.Certainly the wording of the complaint does not indicate it.
