Is it my turn to ask a question? It is true there is a workaround for most things. Please explain to us in detail how a company would create such a workaround. Detail being the operative word. There are things such as de facto standards that aren't recognized as standards by any industry body, and these de facto standards, if companies were yo develop workarounds, would cost more to develop and build than simply paying a 20 million license. On a separate note, I love how layman in integrated cicuit design make sweeping general statements and apply them to our situation. The main issue we have at the ITC is a matter of law currently with the Markman and will hopefully become a matter of fact with product infringement. No workaround has been developed to date as it is too expensive and easier to just pay. Let us hope we have the goods, otherwise thus was a good learning experience for us all, and that is about it.
