DL has no responsibility to respond to a Shareholder truthfully, NONE. I have heard him on a number of occasions, he says lots of things. I think he'll say just about ANYthing.
I think that the reported paraphrased reference regarding Apple attributed to DL about "sometimes it's more than about money", was highly motivated as a canard; but grabbed onto by is still being highly misinterpreted by shareholders.
His remark, if said, was an offhanded reply to a question (from what I read), but what else would you expect him to say ?? Did he also tell the audience at the time that at the last minute he revised the amount allocated to each Patent value and that his own proprietary patents received 5 times as much as the MMP ? I wonder, do you think he could/would have licensed his Patents separately without the MMP being included ? Think that had any bearing as to expediting the deal ?
So .. you trust what DL said was a positive, truthful, meaningful message ? Reading between the lines ? :) Sorry, not me.
With him, like with our BOD, I've learned to never trust what they say, ONLY their actions; what they demonstrate.
Ask PTSC what DL says .
Ask Moore what DL says.
Ask Marcoux what DL says.
Ask Brown what DL says.
Ask DL's landlord what DL says.
Ask DL's pre 2005 Plaintiffs what DL says.
