148 Patent Expired for failure to pay maint fees

I found out yesterday that the 148 patent has expired for failure to pay maintenance fees. I notifed Chuck Moore and he has now posted something on his blog. I also sent a letter to Cliff yesterday demanding answers as to how this could have happened.

It expired last August for failure to pay maintenance fees. There is a way to reinstate within a 24 month period for an unintentional delay in paying. However, it has to be approved by the patent office and fees must be paid.

You have to be asking yourself who was responsible for this and why would TPL/PTSC not know...or was this by design for some reason
