I would say that most good "hired guns" (IP Attorneys) can advocate the idea of the ring oscillator being used as a variable speed system clock just as well as Moore. I would equate it to describing how a combustible engine works. Mechanics, skilled in the automotive repair world, could all explain how a combustible engine works. A beautician might not know. So most good IP attorneys are like mechanics trying to explain how a combustible engine works, they are skilled in the field.

I am assuming that is how most fields work but I could be mistaken :)
