Judge Grewal then joined Day Casebeer Madrid & Batchelder (which later merged with Howrey LLP), where he was elected partner and served on the firm's management committee. His practice was focused on intellectual property litigation, with an emphasis on patent trials and appeals. He has tried patent cases in a variety of federal district courts across the country, and has argued appeals before a variety of federal appellate courts, including the Federal Circuit.
