Where we are:

We are all waiting on a ruling on a Markman hearing held on 1/27/2012. For an explanation on what a Markman hearing look for a post by fs2006 from March 12 of this year. He did a very nice job.

This ruling is pivotal to a successful outcome in the trial against 3 Taiwanese companies (known as the T3) that we claim infringe on the MMP. Many companies are watching for this case because it will most likely determine whether they should come to a settlement with PTSC and TPL or if there is room for them to wiggle out of any infringement claims.

I believe we have a general consensus that with the successful defense of about 18 patent challenges over the years we are in a stronger position then we were a few years ago when we sued 3 Japanese companies (known as the J3). That case was settled but the terms are not publicly known.

After being in this drama for 10 years or so I don't know how much longer I can keep my sanity. The wait on the judges ruling is excruciating.
