In reviewing this awesome post from Tucci, What really caught my eye was under U.S. Patents, the last Patent issued, Patent # 6,598,148 High performance microprocessor having variable speed system clock issued July 22, 2003

My question to Wolf or anyone with knowledge on patents please respond.

How does this patent which is never mentioned in the reexamination process applied to companies that are infringers.

U.S. Patents 584, 336, 749 are due to expire in 2015, will patent 148 issued July 22, 2003 continue on and replace the expired patents and become the new MMP Portfolio and require infringers to purchase the new MMP Portfolio.
