CUPERTINO, Calif. – December 1, 2011 – Alliacense today announced that NVIDIA Corporation has purchased a Fast Logic™ Portfolio license from The TPL Group. The agreement resolves the patent infringement lawsuit filed by The TPL Group against NVIDIA. TPL filed suit against NVIDIA and 17 other companies in the US District Court for the District of Delaware in September. NVIDIA joins more than 20 other global electronics leaders, including Samsung, Broadcom, Philips and Freescale.

The District Court Complaint names a total of 18 companies, including, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Cirrus Logic, Inc., Elpida Memory, Inc., Freescale Semiconductor, Inc., Fujitsu Limited, Hynix Semiconductor, Inc., Marvell Technology Group Ltd., Micron Technology, Inc., Nvidia Corporation, On Semiconductor Corporation, ProMos Technologies Inc., Sony Corporation, STMicroelectronics, Inc., Toshiba Corporation, Xilinx, Inc., and Zoran Corporation, as well as various affiliates of these companies.
How many (above) may be infringing on the MMP. If Leckrone commingles the Fast logic with the MMP as a means of settling? How would our BoD know? What is to prevent a similar situation to that of the Apple license from happening all over again?
