I have been sitting here for the last 50+ hours just shaking my head at the devasting images on television. My thoughts and prayers to all those affected in the Gulf states and especially to the victims of the mismanaged governmental powers that be whom have allowed this tragic event to surface (or submerge) in New Orleans. The ``it will never happen`` thought is now recorded next to that of Pompeii and Herculaneum. What the federal government decides to do or not to do next in this flood plain needs to be debated.
