It is my belief, that all we really wanted was the endless personal attacks to stop. However, attempts to make this happen snowballed into something nobody wanted.

We became so paranoid about controlling serial trouble makers, that we began controlling everyone. And the end result is that we have lost a source of alternative opinions and different prospectives.

I agree with those who say that we need to look at this system again. There could be a better way to monitor this board, which shows respect to all members.

Respect is key. If we all proof-read before posting to check that 'respect' is part of every sentence, we will all be better for it.
