After all these years, there is still much to learn about the history of this company. I never knew that Carlton Johnson was lead counsel in the case against Moore/TPL over inventorship. I guess he had to receive special permission from the court because he is not licensed in CA. Interesting too is that TPL/Moore filed a motion to dismiss counsel. I believe there was an order to dismiss counsel but I'm not sure if they were referring to Johnson or some other attorney (i.e Beatie and Osborne). Please review the link to the case info below. Corrections, comments welcome.
Did Johnson receive compensation for his role as attorney and his role as director of PTSC? Don't forget that Swartz was (is) listed as an assignee in the chain of title for the MMP patents. Whose interest was he protecting? Also, when Johnson was paid a fee for his participation in drafting the master agreement.....again, who really benefitted. Oh and those dividends (twice), again...same question. SGE said he was against dividends but he guesses there were voices louder than his in favor of dividends. I can think of a couple.
