Message: Infringers

Re: Barco/Acer/HTC Let's assume a win in court of $200 million with highly unlikely legal fees of only $5 million (for the sake of this example).

Now assuming only 300 infringers remain. At an avg cost of $5 million in legal fees for each suit, that would mean the $200 million awarded in the above scenario would give us enough to suit 40 other infringers. The patents most likely will have expired before we get close to the 40th suit.

Perhaps I am missing some vital part that would prove that these patents still have the punch left to bring significant value to shareholders. I have serious doubts.

My hope is that our BoD brings about a quick settlement with TPL and we see a steady stream (a wave if you will) of licensing activity with dividends as our reward on a regular basis. At this point, I don't care if it's nuisance fees that are collected. Just give back to shareholders who have hung in there all these years, through so many bad decisions by BoD and management. They owe us, not the other way around.

Corrections/comments always welcome---just be nice about it :)
