If you own a substantial number of shares in one company, the wise thing to do is to take profits on some portion of your holdings on any spike in the pps. This is SOP for large investments because the opportunites to sell significant number of shares w/o drasticly impacting the pps are relatively few. IMO, this is what she was referring to.
