I noticed recently that Reuters ficticious news release about PTSC's announcement to pay a dividend was still on its website, from Oct. I wrote to them and asked about it. I just received the following info via e-mail:

This is in response to the issue that you raised pertaining to Significant Developments reflecting as “Patriot Scientific Corp. Declares Dividend”.

The press release dated October 26, 2010 was wrongly updated by our analyst for “Patriot Scientific Corp” instead of “First Busey Corporation”. Even we have failed to capture the press release issued by the company on October 27, 2010 (Commenting on the dividend press release issued by Thomson Reuters). Significant Development in question has been withdrawn and will be deleted from the product within 24 hours. We have now added the information to the correct company i.e. First Busey Corporation.

We have provided appropriate feedback to the analyst and the Team leader to exercise adequate care while performing updates. Learning sessions are being held with the production teams to ensure high quality and complete updates are delivered. We would like to assure you that we have additional automated quality checks in place to spot these kinds of errors.
