For stillpoint's benefit, are you simply "snidely" suggesting that companies don't file before the deadline?! Or are you legitimately asking what the benefits are? I suggest you call them and ask them. I'm sure each sees a benefit, otherwise they wouldn't do it. Perhaps putting a check in the box next to "File the 10q" is advantage enough for most of them. Otherss may look at it as getting it done early allows them perhaps to focus on the money they're planning on making moving forward, rather than trying to justify what they did in the past. Maybe others look at it as a means of getting news out in as timely a fashion as they can. I'm sure there are a multitude of reasons. Yes, I know, these may seem like rare, foreign concepts to those holding PTSC shares.

Nonetheless, just taking a quick look at the Edgar site shows the following 50-60 companies reported ahead of schedule over the last 2 days. Had you asked this rivetingly insightful question a few days earlier, I could've provided you with a similar list of the ones who had done so the 2 days prior to that. Please report back what the top 3 reasons were after you've surveyed all of them. That will help enlighten us, and apparently you.
