I think that may have been the plan all along. Billions to be lost by an entire industry with lots of money and infuence. They certainly would have the money and resources to find a guy who would settle for millions wouldn't they? When it comes to greed nothing is beyond belief. If that were to happen I would think eveything would have to be stalled, including details of settlements,and litigations to enable the patents to run out. Possibly make business agreements that all parties for some strange reason are happy with. Also it wouldn't hurt to try and dislodge the patents from their owners. And all would have to be kept secret for some reason? As strange as it seems, that would be more plausable than this supposed reality.
